About Us
The Element is a dynamic group of middle school students and their families led by an amazing team of leaders at Bel Air Presbyterian Church in Los Angeles, CA. The mission and purpose of the program is for students to encounter the life-changing message of Jesus Christ and to experience discipleship within the context of personal relationships. The program is geared towards the heart of today's teenager with the specific context of BAPC in mind.
The program is designed to simply provide opportunities to do ministry--to hang out with each other, to laugh and play, and to share Christ. We build programs onthe premise that middle schoolers want to experience the real and active God in the world, and not just the idea or concept. They want to see God in action; not in theory.
Pieces of the Program:
CLUB 905--Sunday Morning Meeting, Evans Chapel, 9:05 AM--10:15 AM
SHIFT REALITY--Wednesday Evening Meeting, Student Center, 7:00 PM--8:00 PM
FIRST FRIDAY--Our big 'shabang!' event once a month designed for students to have a ton of fun and invite friends along (generally the First Friday of every month, with a couple of exceptions--see calendar for details).
SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES--One morning or afternoon designated to giving back to the community. Parents and students are encouraged to attend together.
FAMILY NITE--A chance for the whole fam to come and enjoy an evening of fun anf fellowship together. Students, parents and siblings are all invited!
RETREATS AND CAMPS--Overnight adventures intended to give students a chance to experience God outside of their normal routine.
